5 Bad habits that Affect the Quality of Life

 Benjamin Franklin once said and I quote; “Your net worth to the world is usually determined by what remains after your bad habits are subtracted from your good ones".

We now live in a world where we pattern our life after what people think about us and not what or who we really are. We have decided to be a caricature of our true self and follow the trend even if it is harmful to our existence. We tend to develop and adopt habits we find on screens and even around us. These habits may look or feel good whenever we engage in them but in the real sense, they are killing us slowly.

Find below a compilation of habits that are silently sending our life on an errand to the hereafter.

1. Addictions:

The highest form of slavery known to man is addiction. It is so potent at caging man that man will rather die than not fulfill It's desires. The human body is a child, train it in the way it should go and it will go that way forever. Many are addicted to drugs, porn, masturbation, phones, television and even sleep. Addictions kill faster than contagious diseases and is as potent as the most potent poison on earth.

2. Over-eating

We don't live to eat but eat to live. The major aim of eating is to provide the body It's needed nutrients for proper functioning. When eating goes from this purpose, it becomes a thing of worry. Watch what you eat now before people start watching over you because of what you have eaten. Life is not all about food.

3. Trying to show off;

There is absolutely nothing in this world. I wonder why we move around with a chip over our shoulders and try to be what we aren't. We worry and try to formulate more lies to cover the already told lies. When you try to show off, remember that somebody cannot use your best clothes as rag in his house.

4. Not sharing problems:

No animal can live and succeed in absolute isolation, we all need each other to survive. Not sharing problems with others makes the load heavier for us to carry. There is a difference between sharing problems and over sharing it. Try to Let others know What's happening in your life before you turn history.

5. Idleness;

An idle mind is the devil's playground. Try to get busy. There are 1001 things you can do to keep your mind and hands busy. Roaming about from place to place doesn't pay. I have hardly seen a busy person who has time for fooling around. Being idle makes the body prone to physical, spiritual and psychological attacks.

We were not meant to live a mediocre life. Get rid of the bad habits and enjoy life to the fullest.
